I only see my Dad every other weekend but he came to the school early on my Mom's day to pick me up. But here's the twist. He was DRUNK. The police came, Ms. Rice helped a lot, and Mr. Cowan helped. Every time I was sent into a different room Dad followed me and said that I needed to come home with him and if I didn't he would never see me again. But I always ignored it and said that I wanted to be with Mom. But I still ended up being there for over an hour.

I am glad that you had some adults here to help you navigate through that tough stuff. I wonder if you have thought about the positive thing that it sounds like you did through it all. Sounds like that you advocated for yourself and knew that it was your mom's day and that your dad coming on that day wasn't right. That seems like a brave thing to do. It is really hard when the adults in our lives don't always make the best choices. Again, I am glad that you had some other adults to support you yesterday during a tough time.
