Ok, I don't know how to start this so I'm just gonna say it. Why don't we have pad/tampon dispensers in our bathrooms? If 50% of our school is female, then about 30% of our school bleeds. To get pads, girls have to ask their teacher to go to the office to get one. Sure, our school provides products, but you have to go through multiple poeple to get them. I have many more reasons, but I'll stop here. Thank you for reading.
I appreciate that you are speaking up about this. I wonder if we could come up with alternatives to help you feel supported but also support our students to make good choices while in the restroom. Would you be willing to brainstorm to make it happen?
ReplyDeleteI appreciate you bring this up and calling attention to it. I wonder if when the building was build that the average age of a person menstrating was older and that it was not considered. I also wonder if there is a way to come up with a compromise until our administration can work with county on making these additions. Can we provide supplies in the public staff bathrooms so that would at least take out having to ask for supplies? What other ways could we address this for now?
ReplyDeleteThat's honestly a really good point. My class has mostly girls, and the school should add those.
ReplyDeleteAlso I really admire the research on this one. You could always take this up with the board, this is a real problem.
ReplyDeleteI agree
ReplyDeletefr though slayy
ReplyDeleteI agree so much. And it should be normal not like it should be weird cause like said like 50% is girls so
